FOOD, PATTERNS AND BLANKETS

November 16, 2019: Even if you did not accept either of the 2019 challenges, please come to our final meeting of the year to celebrate a good year, with brunch provided by the 2019 board. And if you did accept the challenges, bring your blanket to be donated to the Linus project and/or your two placements to put into a blind exchange.  Here is a short form to fill out to go with your placements, so that the recipient can duplicate them if they want to weave more to match:

Placemat pattern, P.# and book:__________________________________________

Fiber (i.e. 8/2 cotton, etc.) and color:______________________________________

EPI and total # of ends__________________________________________

Your  Name:__________________________________________________

Put that in with the two placemats and roll them into a cylinder. We will have tissue paper and ribbon to wrap them when you arrive. We do need to keep the 8-shaft and 4-shaft weavings separate. During the meeting, we will have a number drawing for each weaver who brought one to pick one and then show what you have received.
For the original weaver, it will be a time to talk about how the challenge worked for that weaver and what they want the recipient to know. So our program is a giant show and tell! See you on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Midwest Weavers Conference 2019 Recap  & our Annual Stash Share/Sale Event

August 17, 2019:  Come hear about what took place at the past Midwest Weavers Conference.
Also this month we will have our annual stash cleanout. So bring what you want to give away or sell. If you
want to donate any fiber or weaving items to the guild for us to sell and bank the profits for our treasury, that would
be great. We will start the sale after the regular meeting and program. Now is the time to clean out your storage
bins, shelves and tools and bring them to the August 17th meeting!
