45" LeClerc Nilus II 4-shaft loom

8/2/2026

$800 - The loom for sale (located in Carbondale, Illinois) is a 45 inch Nilus II model made by Leclerc, circa 1985, which I have used for about 30 years. It has 4 shafts, 6 treadles and a sectional warp beam. It can weave up to 44 - 45 inch wide cloth. Both front and back beam are easily removable to facilitate threading from either front or back. There are plenty of heddles to allow for weaving overshot patterns. I have the original instructions for putting the loom together and the manual. A conversion kit to upgrade to an 8 shaft should still be available. While parts and upgrades can still be purchased, I am not aware of any issues or problems which require replacement or upgrading.

The price includes 2 reeds and 2 shuttles as well a new front apron (for when the original one eventually wears out) and a maple swift. Several cones of yarn (at least 20) will be included. Most have lost their original label so there is no way to know yardage remaining on the spool, the size of the yarn or yarn content, but it will make experimenting and learning very affordable.  A weaving bench is included in the price.

The loom folds up slightly to go through a standard door.  It is a heavy duty work horse, made of maple and very sturdy weighing approximately 200 pounds. It requires a minimum of 2 strong people and a pick up truck or van to move. It is on the second floor of my home. The price assumes the buyer moves the loom (or arranges movers) from its current location.
