Over the Top Overshot Workshop, September 7-8, 2024

Instructor Beth Duncan, from the Fine Line Creative Arts Center, St. Charles, IL, would particularly like to invite newer weavers who may have no experience weaving Overshot.

This 2-day workshop covers traditional and contemporary experimentation in overshot. The first day we will work with historically correct blocks and grists of yarn. On the second day we will change gears, playing with colors and textures, especially in the tabby wefts. The workshop will be located in Fishers, Indiana.

Cost for the workshop is $225. Fee includes warp and tabby weft. Students will provide their own pattern weft. Warp & instructions will be sent to each participant before the workshop. Students should be able to warp a loom and read a draft.

Students must provide their own 4 or 8 shaft loom that is in good working order or contact workshop chairperson Nina Kennedy if you would like to borrow a table loom to use in this workshop.
