$2,600. The loom is countermarche, it is four harnesses, six treadles and room for more! 1 yard sectional beam. Brand new Texsolv tie ups and brand new Texsolv Polyester Heddles. This loom was brought new from Cranbrook from Norwood Looms in Michigan in the early 80s, before Schacht bought out the cranbrooks. Nothing but rugs were ever woven on this loom. Irish linen warp, wool fabric strips. There are no missing parts. This is a fine loom that is very heavy and thus suited to any variety of weaving projects. The front beam is about waist high, very comfortable whether standing or sitting on the bench to weave. Included with the loom is the bench, 6-dent reed, several shuttles, stretchers.
The countermarche loom is wonderful to use because the shed is very generous and you can get quite a bit of weaving completed before you have to advance it again. The overhead beater is smooth to use and the weight such that you can get good firm tight woven rugs without over taxing your muscles. I consider the Cranbrook the Rolls Royce of looms. It is extremely well designed and built of hard rock maple, and I can assure you, you will never regret investing in one.
Cash, Local pick up ONLY. Will help load this heavy loom. It does break down and will fit in the bed of a full size pickup truck. Located in Greene County, Indiana. Pictures are available email me and I will send you pictures of this loom. Contact
